Kraków was once again the home of charity running on the weekend of 5–6 September, as Błonia Park and Jordan Park played host to the jubilee 15th Poland Business Run – Poland’s biggest charity business relay.
This year broke records: over 47,600 runners in more than 5,300 teams took part across the whole event – up over a thousand on last year. In Kraków alone, 16,500 people made it to the start line, making up 3,300 five-person relay teams.
Since its beginnings in 2012, the run has turned sport into real help for people with mobility disabilities, amputees and those recovering from mastectomy. To date, the Poland Business Run Foundation has supported nearly 1,400 people across the country.
The Kraków weekend once again featured two rounds of the relay, PBR Walk for those who’d rather keep it to a stroll, and PBR Kids for the youngest runners. The standout addition this year was ROBOT RUN – 18 humanoid and four-legged robots taking on a slalom and a 100-metre dash on Błonia. Their teams’ entry fees went straight to the charity pot too.
We’ve been at this for years – and we’re not about to stop 🙂
See you next year!
