Radionika’s GSM-R Training Centre now open!

Radionika has officially opened the GSM-R Training Centre in Krakow – the first and only facility of its kind in the country.

The GSM-R standard will be implemented in just a few weeks. Every railway operator needs to ensure their train drivers receive proper training. With no alternative facilities available on the market, our Krakow center offers a one-of-a-kind solution for the entire industry.

The programme combines training videos that explain key theoretical concepts in a clear, accessible and engaging manner, with hands-on sessions led by expert instructors in a professional environment. Participants will master essential skills for operating radiotelephones under the new standard, work through test scenarios, understand how the GSM-R system behaves, and learn to handle common situations. For train drivers, it’s a chance to test their knowledge in near-real conditions before using the equipment on the job.

Each training session accommodates up to twelve participants. This size ensures everyone gets individual attention, every question gets answered, and participants walk away with practical, applicable knowledge. We also provide a break room and lunch vouchers and refreshments throughout the day.

Andrzej Nikoniuk, Radionika’s CEO: Building the Centre was a significant undertaking, but as a leading radiotelephone manufacturer, we knew we were uniquely positioned to guide our clients into the digital GSM-R era and teach them what they need to know about operating the equipment. The positive feedback we’ve received so far makes all the effort worthwhile.

The GSM-R Training Centre is now taking bookings. Radionika warmly invites operators and their teams to get in touch and reserve their spots. Full details and registration are available on our website in the ‘TRAINING’ section.
