Over the weekend of September 6–7, Krakow became the heart of charity running. The 14th edition of Poland Business Run took place at Błonia Park and Jordan Park, with as many as 16,000 people taking part – a record turnout in the history of the Krakow edition of the event.
In total, across the entire initiative – covering Krakow, Warsaw and the virtual world – over 46,600 participants took part. On the route, you could meet employees of companies, institutions, offices, as well as city authorities representatives.
The funds raised are dedicated to supporting people with mobility disabilities, post-amputation and post-mastectomy patients.
A novelty of this year’s event was two race heats, which allowed for an increased number of participants. The program also included PBR Walk – a walk for non-runners, and PBR Kids – races for the youngest participants. The virtual format also proved popular, allowing participants from around the world to join in.
Importantly, this year too our Team did not disappoint and once again took part in the run, supporting this noble cause and combining sport with helping others.
Poland Business Run is an example of how sport can bring people together and genuinely change the lives of those in need.
